I’ve noticed! Like, take Mars for example. In the original anime, the very first instance of Fire Soul was totally strong and badass:
But, after that, it was never really as impressive (in the first season, at least; the versions she preformed in the R and SuperS movies were killer). On the other hand, Crystal!Mars’ attacks are consistently portrayed as devastating and capable of wiping out almost anything:
The 90s!Senshi weren’t weaklings by a long shot, but their power levels seemed to fluctuate like crazy. It’s nice to see them as consistently powerful for once!
